Make sure to drink ample amounts of water. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day is important when you are getting older, as you are at an increased risk of dehydration.

The food you eat plays a big part in how you age. You need to eat fruits, vegetables, dairies, meats, and avoid fats, sodium or large amounts of refined sugar. Have three moderately sized meals, and don’t eat many snacks.

Don’t measure yourself in numbers–measure instead in content. Your doctor is watching those numbers like a hawk and will alert you if something is off. If you spend all of your time dwelling upon how many years you have under your belt, the number on the scale, and how much–if any–height you’ve lost, you leave less room for the things that really matter when it comes to staying young.

You can take advantage of your old age and turn it into the best years of your life. These suggestions will help you be healthier and happier so you can live out the rest of your life as happy as you can be.
