An oxygenated brain will be able to process information and recall things more easily.

If you want a better chance of retaining the information that you’re attempting to learn, you should work on focusing intently on the specific topic. Humans store items to be remembered in the long-term memory part of the brain. Outside distractions can make it very difficult to store information in your long term memory.

You can visualize this memory process as if you were creating a tree. For larger subjects, be sure to concentrate initially on the gist. After that, learn the crucial details, or “limbs” of the tree. Additional details can be added as leaves on the branches of your memory tree. Visually organizing information this way can be incredibly helpful.

Try not to drink coffee. Caffeine, which is found in coffee and other drinks, may lead to dehydration. If you are dehydrated, you will notice that you feel sluggish and fatigued; this can be attributed to the fact that your brain is largely made of water. This process will poorly affect your memory.

Paying attention will help your memory. You may believe that you are listening attentively, but in reality most people find that their mind may be on other things. Try your best to focus and clear your mind so you can focus on the things that are being shown and said. Once the moment has passed, play it over again in your mind to commit it to memory.
