Try to take advantage of your panic attacks by using the nervous energy to get things done. This will release some of that energy, and improve your calm because you will have decreased your clutter.
You should find your panic attack triggers. A panic attack can be triggered from someone else who has made you upset, when you talk to them you could get so nervous an attack might happen. Therefore, you should aim to talk to this person in a healthy way in order to get all of the emotions out of your body. Don’t drink too much alcohol if you have panic attacks. As a depressant, alcohol will definitely not improve your ability to handle panic attacks. Instead, it can make them worse. If you’re taking any panic attack medications, you need to be extra careful about not consuming alcohol as this can cause an unhealthy reaction.
When a loved one has panic attacks, you need to be familiar with the possible symptoms that they will evoke. You will know when someone is about to experience an attack because it usually starts out with them trying to gain their breath. Then it may advance to other conditions such as trembling, dizziness, sweating and thoughts of panic. Before you treat the event as a panic attack, you should first ensure that the symptoms are not being caused by a life-threatening condition like a heart attack.

Controlled breathing and regular meditation can be very effective in easing anxiety and reducing panic attacks. Take 10 deep breaths, filling your lungs with as much air as you can each time. Mentally count each time you inhale and exhale. Doing this brings much needed oxygen to the brain, but also allows your mind to focus on more than just the negative, anxious feelings.
Honesty about your emotions is the best policy for fending off panic attacks. Panic attacks can be caused by an inability to properly deal with your emotions. If something is bothering you, share it with someone as soon as you can.
Be aware of how you’re feeling, so that you know if a panic attack’s about to strike. That way, you can nip it in the bud. Try to remember the sensations you felt just prior to an episode and document them in writing. Look over them often, so that you can get a feel as to what your triggers and try to steer clear of them.
A sense of contentment is one key to a happy life, and panic attacks can throw all that off. You can get better, though. Always keep in mind that their are healthy, harmless ways to get rid of stress. Do the right thing yourself by researching methods to relieve stress and asking your doctor for advice.
