Your expectations are often different from reality, so you have to be prepared for that. Appreciate the support you are receiving.
Regular clothing cannot fully protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun. Look online, or in local stores, for protective clothing that you like.
Anyone with cancer should consider joining a support group for those with cancer. Your peers will have tons of helpful advice and can provide a shoulder to cry on. Most of these groups also welcome family members and friends of cancer patients.
Do not associate cancer with death as soon as you or someone you know gets diagnosed, even though you may be tempted to feel that way. While cancer can cause death, you shouldn’t treat people like they already passed away. There are a great deal of people who go on to live many happy years after receiving a cancer diagnosis.
Everything you put into the fight against cancer is for the ultimate goal of survival. While your local physician and oncologist can treat the cancer physically, you won’t usually find the much needed emotional support at a clinic or hospital.
